The UKS series Cascadable CAT5 KVM Switch Family is a cost-effective implementation of the CAT5 KVM Switching Technology in enterprise scenario. The UKS Cascadable CAT5 KVM Switches are designed to fulfill the critical demands ever higher server capacity in modern data centers. The UKS Cascadable CAT5 KVM Switch Family features UKS-0132OSD, UKS-0116OSD and UKS-0108OSD, each of which can allow dual console access over any one server desktop among the 16 ports/32 ports over a single CAT5 KVM Switch main unit. With cascaded UKS units, the total managed port capacity can be maximized to 256 ports. The UKS series provides up to 100M of cabling distance.
Remote Splitting Console for convenience of 100M console extension

The Dual Console feature of the UKS Cascadable series of CAT5 KVM Switches offers a special convenience for admins who have to work at a second location (the second console, or a remote console ) that could be 100 M away from the first (local) console that is immediate on the CAT5 KVM Switch. Thus, admins could choose to work at either the local console  or the remote console as he or she pleases or is  required.  The remote console is extendable up to 100M over CAT5 UTP cable, and shares the same video and keyboard/mousse control with the local console.

Remote Console Access Control by Hotkeys

To enhance security level of the remote console access, the UKS series CAT5 KVM Switch features the activation/deactivation of remote console by hotkey commands issued from the local console.  Thus, the admin on the local console can have full access to the connected computers and, at the same time, either grant or deny access to users on the remote console.

Firmware upgrade for easy synchronization of all firmware on KVM switches and computer modules

The Firmware upgrade feature provides a easy way to manually upgrade your firmware to the latest version available on the CAT5 KVM switch main unit, whether it is resident on the CAT5 KVM switches or on individual dongles. This can reduce the time and efforts spent to keep the whole system updated in good shape.

Neater and more pliable CAT5 cabling to save cabling nightmare

Due to higher and higher density of servers within corporate server rooms or data centers, server admins face an even more aggravating problem of cabling clutters when connecting servers to the KVM Switch, using only the conventional KVM combo cables. The UKS series CAT5 KVM Switch is a neat solution to save all these cabling troubles that are inherent with ever higher server density -- The UKS series CAT5 KVM Switch utilizes CAT5/CAT5e/CAT6 UTP cables as carriers of the KVM signals in lieu of the often cumbersome conventional KVM combo cables. There are no more monstrous cabling clutters to thwart server rack backside access, and owing to much longer distance of cabling, admins can also manage to integrate any computers that are 300 Meters of cabling distance away under the control of the CAT5 KVM switch.
