K5PRT150-TX & K5PRT150-RX for Transmitter Unit and Receiver Unit

The CAT5 KVM Extender Set comprises a pair of two disparate units- The K5PRT150-TX (Transmitter unit) and the K5PRT150-RX (Receiver unit).  The Transmitter Unit is located near the computer that is to be extended 150M away to the Remote Console on the Receiver Unit. Both the Transmitter Unit and the Receiver Unit provides a KVM console for user access on both locations.

A Built-in KVM Switch on the Remote Console for More Versatility

The K5PRT150-RX also has a built-in KVM Switching function that allows user to switch between a near-by computer and the remote computer 150M away. The Remote user not only can control the far-end computer via the CAT5 extension from 100M away, but can also switch to its near-end computer for flexible management on the same console. This KVM switching feature will definitely add value to the CAT5 extension as it will add more convenience and flexibility for the remote users.

Button/Local Console Hotkeys for Remote Console Access Control

The K5PRT150-TX (Transmitter Unit) provides both a front-panel button as well keyboard hotkeys that can be issued on the local console to configure the remote console access control for normal mode or view-only mode. These controls are only available on Transmitter Unit (the K5PRT150-TX) and not on the Receiver Unit, which might be located within non-secured area and access should be restricted. With the button and these hotkeys, users can either block or grant access, or toggle on/off the view-only mode on the console of the Receiver Unit. For someone who does need to use different hotkey preceding sequence, it also provides 5 alternatives for choice.  Thus, the Local Console (i.e. the TX unit) will have permanent access of the computer without limitation; the Remote Console  (i.e. the RX unit) can be enabled with full access or view-only access, or access disabled entirely from the local console.

Dual keyboard/mouse interface support for USB and PS/2 on computer side.

The K5PRT150 CAT5 KVM Extender Set also provides extension support for both USB and PS/2 keyboard and mouse interface on computer side; while on the console side, it supports physical PS/2 keyboard, mouse and HDB 15 video interface.

Fine-tuning video parameters by OSD Menu operation

The K5PRT150 is manufactured with a sturdy metal case for robust and reliable usage over years to come. And its deployment is just as simple as can be. Video settings such as gain and equalization can be done by adjusting two mechanical knobs on the front of the receiver unit.

EIDI Transparent/Emulation Support

The K5PRT150 also supports Transparent/Emulation modes for EDID data emulation. Simply by using OSD Menu operation, users can designate the EDID emulation to use the EDID data copy from either the default EDID (factory default) or that from the local or remote monitor.
